E2M3 - The Crypt of Decay

Secret 1

From the start of the level you will have to go up a lift, in order to get out of the room. Go down to the bridge, where there is some water You will see an alcove in the wall (in DM mode). Go into it and a lift will take you up. Turn to your right, and go into the room.

You will need to shoot the red button, which will cause a platform to come out, and a door to open, as indicated.

Jump onto the platform and into the room. You should see another button. Press this and a secret barrier will be lowered so you can get to a secret level.

Secret 2

Go back to the start of the level, go up the lift and onto the bridge. Go into the water and go straight forward. You should be in a small tunnel. Go through this tunnel then look to your left. You should notice a small arch.

Go through the arch and this view will greet you.

Follow the green line and you will find yourself in a room with some armour and a teleporter.

Secret 3

From the teleporter in #2 you will have spawned near the third secret. Go in the direction which your teleporter sent you and go over the bridge. (There may be a barrier early in a game, just jump over it) then you need to turn to your left (with the lake to your left and go towards the gold doorway.

You will notice a small passage way a few paces before the good door entrance (which can be seen with golden key symbols, take this passageway to the end and get your rockets.

Secret 4

If you follow the path back from the secret #3 you will go back to the bridge, turn left (DON'T go over the bridge). You will then find yourself going towards a blue tower. When you come to a crossroads, take the left hand path. This should lead you to a room which has its entrance guarded by a spike door. Negotiate this and you will find yourself in a room with 3 alcoves.

You will choose the right hand side one, which has the torch in it.

To access the door you will need to shoot it. Here you will find 100 health and a pool. If you have accessed Secret #1 then you go into the pool and you will notice an arch. Go through this and you will have a Quad, 2 cell packs, and if you go around the back of the slipgate then you will get your Lightening Gun.

There is an alternate route, which can be got through Secret #5.

Secret 5

You may be wondering, "What!? 5 secrets, the program only says 4."

This is not because it is a secret room, per se', but it is a VERY useful area to find yourself in, as it contains a Pentagram of Protection. Getting to it is quite tricky for the beginner.

From Secret 3, you will see the Gold Key door, which you can see the room is blue. You enter this room and you will go as far into it as possible, you would therefore find the exit which has a corridor full of spike shooters.

Exiting this room you will be on the upper platform and the tower. Get out of the range of the spike shooters, and then look towards them.

To your left you will have a platform with a Rocket Launcher on it.

To your right you will have a platform with a quad on it. Choose this platform.

To get onto this platform you will have to take a running leap into that direction. Practice makes perfect, so don't worry.

Once you have got onto this platform you will need to follow the very narrow path around the wall until you get to the entrance to the Dope Fish Secret.

To do this you will need to plot a course which has you going in a slight left direction, all the way to the entrance, then you will need to jump into the entrance. In the passageway you will find some health. Then you will need to jump into the water. Go as far down as possible and you should see this.

You would also see an environmental suit. If you go near the blue wall as you have the Pentagram the wall will light up. If you follow the left hand side of the room, you will get to an exit, which you will need to virtually run into.

This will lead out to the secret #4
